JOSEPHINE OMOYA MEMORIAL CHURCH – A Community Church open to all!
A community Christian Church open to all!
Pida Awere. Awere Sub-County, Pader District, Northern Uganda
Mrs Josphine Omoya
Josphine Omoya Memorial Church will be built in memory of Mrs. Josphine Omoya who was instrumental in promoting Christianity to her community at Pida pa Ayollo, Awere, Northern Uganda. At the moment, the Church is conducted under her BIG TREE. She died on 28/08/2018, in Phipps Bridge, London Mitcham UK, aged 93. (See her history in the appendix). Her dream was to build a Christian Church to help keep peace and harmony in the community, and a Nursery School where underprivileged children would be able to start their lives.
This Church is a platform that combines Christian faith with holistic principles to promote spiritual growth and development. Its structure is built around bible teaching such as prayer, evangelism, mission and Christian living.
The church members benefit from counselling, mentoring programs and activities signed to encourage faithful living so that members lead a meaningful spiritual life.
This Church has also been in the doldrums for many years following the war in Northern Uganda that has created poverty which has robbed the community of their dignity. We shall tackle poverty through Church, health, education and livelihood programs.
