About Our Community-Based Church in Uganda

Our Vision

A prosperous community-based church that is passionate about God, education, and the well-being of the local people.

Mission Statement

To become a community-based church that connects people with God, transforming the community through education and empowering them through livelihood projects.

Goals

1) TO BUILD A CHURCH:
a) To expand Christian values to the community through prayers thereby building a caring, loving community as a basis of our togetherness (cohesiveness).
b) To get involved in strategic outreach ministries in the community, nationally and globally.

2) TO BUILD A PRIMARY SCHOOL:
a) To give underprivileged children a chance at education. Many families at Awere struggle to provide education to their children as many live on less than $1 a day. They are caught up in a cycle of poverty. Most Schools are also privately owned and beyond the reach of the families.

3) PROVIDE ADULT (VOCATIONAL) EDUCATION for those who missed education during the war and have no skills e.g. motor mechanic, brick-laying, carpentry, Electrical, Farming, Catering, Plumbing, Welding and Fabrication, Construction, and many others.

Core Values

People:

We value people and seek to treat each person with respect and dignity as made in the image of God. Proactive, forward-thinking mindset, that looks ahead and plan for development.

Devotion:

We agree to encourage personal and family devotions to educate our children according to our faith and mission, thereby being just in our dealings and reliable in our responsibility.

Cooperation:

Work together, obey the Commandments and aim at poverty reduction through our projects.

Compassion:

Serve God and the community with compassion because God’s heart is overflowing with compassion for all of us.  Through Jesus’ example, we are called to serve others with compassion both in our community and all around the world.
